and the story begins....
Signature Photo: "Aquamarine Iris" close up shot, thank you Arya ;)
During my journey in the vast world of photography I've learned quite lot about how using a camera and what to capture through the lens, but i know that photography isn't mainly about that. I've also learned about the breathtaking experiences and amazing connections photography gives in the making. I've made new friends, new adventures, new photos, and especially a new chapter in my life. In the future I really want to continue to further my experience and progress in the world of photography. It brings me joy capturing beautiful and touching moments in that life that we sometimes forget or skip out on. Just showing people how the world is filled with so much of the beautiful unknown really is a motivation and such a natural high. Photography is such a vast interest that i'm going to investigate in the present and in the future. Who knows maybe during my journey in the military can help shape up my strength and imagination. Oh, just the thought of it makes me so excited! All I'm going to need is a lot of money to purchase a Nikon camera, some folks filled with wanderlust like me, and a car and i'll be set. You're probably questioning why the eyes for this paragraph? Well the reason why is simply because eyes are the camera that capture everything we go through everyday. It's crazy how our eyes can record things and keep them stored in our small brains for long periods of time. intellectual, huh? ;) But I hope soon you guys will get to see more about the world that you probably never heard of or seen, i'm going to try my best to make that happen.
who i am?
my culture?
do i have a culture? we'll find out..

Forgot to introduce myself, Hi! Im Ignacio Castillo, i'm basically a curious, enthusiastic fella
who just wants to explore so many places around the world, write/draw stories of my experience, and make new friends along the way. I don't have much one this type of topic because I'm diverse and have so many thoughts about everything that I'm honestlyNot gonna lie but I'm not of a catorgizing type of person, i don't have a certain group or culture that I in because I wander off to different types of people, cultures, views, etc. Sticking to one place or group can get boring or develops as a routine which isn't my thing. If I had to chose one, I'd be those people who are outsiders, or nomads, constantly moving from place to place because I believe that it is essential to get out of your comfit zone and take on new things in life. I chose this photo because the bridges that connect to separate lands shows the route from one place to another or in other terms one group/culture to another .The bridge is the pathway that lets the transition happen.

I travel a lot, from running to the rocky mountains, evergreen forests, to even places where i actually don't even know where I am. There's sometimes not even wifi or signal, so it can be pretty sketchy. But I love going to places that is so unknown to me. The reason why I get excited and pumped rather than shy and scared is the fact that an unknown area could be filled with new forms of nature, probably new species that you've never seen before, but the one thing that really sparks my incentive is getting out of my comfort zone and take on something that I'm totally blind on. Taking on something that's so nebulous is just thrilling because who knows maybe you might discover something that you've never seen before and share it to others, like an adventurer who discovered the city of Atlantis or something. Who knows maybe I'm going to discover the city of Shangri-La or Atlantis. (Wow I'm such a dork, but a guy can dream, right?) In the end, i'm going to continue to explore new places with friends or even new people until the end, maybe I'll be one of those old guys who walks with a cool looking stick and have some sort of long beard, like Gandalf. ;)
wanna go on an adventure guys?
"time to explore!" rule of thirds shot, thanks guys! :D
When going on an adventure, its can be rough. Since I'm a shy, timid, socialite it's difficult to meet new people, yet I love meeting new people. Such a contradiction, right? The people who I come across in my journey can either become an impact or a lesson. But the ones who I laugh continuously and feel happy with, are the ones who I stay with and grow on a deeper level. In this photo, I chose these 3 individuals because they made me laugh so much to the point where I can barely laugh anymore and even start snorting. But it's not just the laughs that make them special, its the way they understand and accept who you are. They don't consist of ego, ignorance, or doubt. They consist of happiness, infinite thoughts, positivity, and selflessness. Those kinds of people are quite rare to find in this world and I'm truly blessed to meet them. But I know that there's more like them, I just have to find them and get to know them. It's going to be exciting, yet scary (Not-going to lie) because it's a whole new being created with a new personality, new views on life, new perspective, it's infinite! (But could also be the exact opposite of you.)
Overall the ones who are closest to me would be my friends rather than anyone else (even family) because I really don't have a close/sentimental connection with family due to some conflicts, disadvantages. I've been mostly independent ever since I was little. But my friends are really special, I actually view them more as family than friends, it's weird, but hey, if it makes me happy and them also, imma keep going. Who knows maybe the new people i'll meet in the future will be added to the huge family.

"The Grey Serene " establishing shot, courtesy to Moonlight Beach
In the process of this journey, I've traveled to so many places from the hazardous and steep mountains of California to the breathtaking and luminous beaches to the bright, dazzling cities filled with neons, fluorescent lights, and more. But the main place that I continue to visit are the serene beaches of California. The reason why I love these spots is the fact that they're close to where I live and also friends can come along and create new and exciting adventures. The beach is always filled with loud and crazy people that talk about the most extraordinary or irrational topics ever! But it's not just about the people that make the beach so special, its the environment, atmosphere, and view it consists of that makes it my favorite. I sometimes go there by myself to do some sketching or meet some new people just to see what the beach folks are up to. It's crazy what the beach goes through everyday. If I ever had the chance to live wherever I want, it would be by the beach because imagine waking up to this everyday from sunrise to sunset. Combined with my little succulent garden, I'd die of happiness (not really, that'd be horrible because then I'd lose this beaut.)
private property? oh the anticipation builds! (so does the future)
"The Stairs of Anticipation" leading line shot
In the end, as the sun starts setting and the night builds in, a couple of friends and I relax and talk about the craziest stories or deep thoughts about life. Sometimes we even sketch the moments on our sketchbooks and add a piece of ourselves on each other sketches. Almost like a scrapbook. New thoughts and conversations are born. And thus the anticipation builds up even more as we plan future plans for new adventures at new destinations. That's the reason why I chose this photo, we just keep on going higher and higher, meeting new people, making new connections, and becoming a better person than previously. Also it gets better when new people are added to the group because the conversation bubble expands even more. (So contact me, if you're down for an adventure.)
Honestly I wish adventures can take longer rather than fast because it makes life more enjoyable and meaningful, but unfortunately we run on a 24 time zone.

Apple maps says its around the corner.
Really?
That's the beach.
Where there's a beach, there's commercial areas!
